Normal Check-In time is between 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm daily. Should you require an arrival time outside these hours, please contact us in advance and we will strive to meet your needs. We are unable to accept arrivals later than 9:00 pm each evening. Arrivals after 8:00 pm may incur a late check-in fee. Regular Check-Out time is 11:00 am, unless otherwise specified. Late checkout may be arranged with prior notice for a fee of $25 per hour.
Cancellations cause significant adverse impact due to our small size. If notice of cancellation is provided 14 days prior to your scheduled arrival time, your deposit (minus a $50.00 for a single room, $100 per room for multiple rooms service charge) will be refunded. If you have reserved more than one room, your cancellation date is 20 days prior to your scheduled arrival time. Reservations with cancellations less than 14 days prior to the arrival date will be responsible for the entire balance due. "No-shows" will be charged the full amount of their reservation.
With our mountainous location, Winter Weather can be beautiful, but also can cause hazardous driving conditions for our guests. Our first concern is for the safety of our guests. If the National Weather Service issues a Winter Storm Warning for Hardy County, WV within 24 hours of your scheduled stay, we will reschedule your stay for a later date within 3 months of your original stay, subject to availability. Other winter weather travel conditions are subject to review and follow our standard booking policies.
The Guesthouse is a West Virginia State Licensed Liquor Facility, so we cannot allow outside alcoholic beverages to be consumed poolside or in any public spaces. Beer, wine and cocktails also can be purchased in the bar during normal operating hours and taken to any of the public spaces.
The Guesthouse is located on a lovely hillside in the Lost River Valley. Public spaces are furnished with antiques and artwork and the grounds contain many stairs and other potential hazards. For this reason we are unable to accept children under the age of 18. Note: Please join our mailing list and check our website as we have a couple "family weekends". One in the summer and one in the Spring. We greatly appreciate your understanding.
The Guesthouse has open pool hours from 11:30am to 3:00pm on Saturdays when the Guesthouse is not completely full. Guests joining us for lunch or drinks are allowed to use the pool
All pool guests must have lunch on the patio, and a credit card must be surrendered by each non-registered guest during their time at the pool, held in the bar, for drink and lunch tabs. Guests must also bring their own towels. No outside food or drink is permitted this includes coolers. In addition, no pets are permitted. No smoking by non-registered guests at the pool but may use designated areas on the patio and outside the front lobby.
Lounge chair priority is reserved for registered guests. No personal chairs are allowed. Guests must comply with all normal rules of conduct.
We welcome guests’ quiet, well-behaved dogs in the Redbud Cottage Garden Level and the Tower room. An extra fee of $35.00 will be added per pet in each of these rooms. We limit number of dogs to 2 in each of our pet friendly rooms. To ensure other guests’ safety and comfort, dogs are not allowed in any of our indoor common areas, outdoor dining areas or by the pool. All dogs must be housebroken, properly vaccinated and of a friendly temperament. Please bring a crate for your dog; as we request your dog be crated if left unattended. Please help keep our yard clean for everyone. For your pet's safety and the safety of our other guests, pets must remain on a leash while on property and outside of your guest-room, this includes during check-in. Any damage to furnishings or property will result in related charges for repair or replacement of furnishings and finishes.
We keep your personal information private and secure. When you make a reservation from our site, you provide your name, email address, credit card information, address, and phone number. We use this information to process your reservation, to keep you updated on your reservation and to personalize your Guesthouse experience.
